Monday Monday!

Good morning!

I woke up at 7:30 this morning to get to work at 8:15 at Jack Dennis.  I let the dog out, brushed my teeth, got dressed, fixed my hair (even threw on some Mascara)- in preparation of a long day at two jobs- and ran out the door.  I got half way to town and it popped up that I had a voice mail on my cell phone (I don't have cell service at my house).  So I check my message and it's work (Jack Dennis) telling me that I'm not scheduled until Wednesday.  SO... I turn around and head back to the house.

Normally, I would go back to sleep and wake up at a more reasonable hour, but I got 9 hours of sleep last night and feel pretty awake and energetic.  So here I am... watching Days of Our Lives (from Friday on Soap Net) and drinking coffee.  Elu is snuggling with me and Zion is on the floor.  Jeff and Megan already left for work and Brandi, Shane and Liz are still sleeping, so I have the TV to myself and the peace and quiet to do a little blogging.

I finally had a day off on Friday! Didn't do a whole lot that I would consider exciting.  I did fix up my room a little though.  Since I am far from what someone might call "rich," I bought a $3 climbing magazine and cut out pictures to create my wall-hangings.

The exciting part of my day was joining the gym.  I joined the Enclosure.  AND the race is ON to loose 20 pounds by spring! And by summer I'll be in shape enough to climb the Grand! (Teton that is).

I'm in a "race" with my friend Zach to get in shape.  He's a photographer and does a lot of really arty photos with dancers and climbers and whatnot- so my prize for getting in super hot shape is a photo shoot with Zach! It sounds narcissistic but it's the best motivation for me to get in shape: to have smokin', arty pics of me climbing that one day when I'm old and wrinkly, my grandkids can see that I wasn't alway that way.

Okay, well I'm off to the gym now- Guess it's never too early to get the ball rollin' on this hot body!

You had a bad day....

I just wanted to give a shout-out to my best friend in the world. Megan Gowers is always there for me! Even 1800 miles away, she's there. She's the only person that can pretty much remind me that I'm being a crazy stupid girl without making me feel bad about being a crazy stupid girl.

I was having a rough day. I broke down at work for no particularly good reason (there was a trigger for my break down, but it wasn't really something worth crying over). So I took a break to go outside and call Megan. She talked me down, bringing to the forefront the underlying problem: I'm home sick. She said it point blank, "Tricia, you're home sick and you've been working so much that you've just worn yourself out with worry and stress." She was so right. Once I admitted to myself that I miss Alabama (gasp!) I started to feel better. I do have friends out here, but none that will EVER, EVER compare to my friendship with Megan.

God knows that Megan and I have not been without our fair share of issues. I've done some things and said somethings and NOT done some things that have put a strain on our friendship, and she's done some things to piss me off as well, but we're still friends and will always be, regardless of distance and time.

go big blue... I'm not talking Auburn this time

Oh how I love the internet and it's circulation of silly little excerpts from people... I found this one courtesy of myspace and thought I would share... I realize that this means I will have to move again in order to live in a "blue state" but I'm surrounded by them, so it won't be that far to move. AND before you go getting offended, I didn't write this and I just thought it was FUNNY!!! m'kay. now enjoy.

Dear Red States:

We've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and we're taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren't aware,
that includes California, Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, Minnesota,
Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast.

It may even include Florida and Ohio, they are seriously considering it.

We've given them until Nov. 4th to decide.

We believe this split will be beneficial to
the nation, and especially to the people of the new country.

Since we're dropping the middle states we're calling it United America, or simply the U.A.

To sum up briefly:
You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.

We get stem cell research and the best beaches.

We get the Statue of Liberty.

You get Dollywood. You can take Ted Nugent.

We're keeping Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel.

You get WorldCom.

We get Intel and Microsoft.

You get Ole' Miss.

We get Harvard and 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs.

You get Alabama.

We get wo-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states pay their
fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the Christian
Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families.

You get a bunch of single moms, and the highest concentration of pregnant unwed teenagers.

Please be aware that the U.A.

will be pro-choice and anti-war, and we're going
to want all our citizens back from Iraq at once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have kids they're apparently willing to send to their deaths for no purpose, and they don't care if you don't show pictures of their children's caskets coming home.

We do wish you success in Iraq, and hope that the WMDs turn up, really we do, but we're not willing to spend our resources in Bush's Quagmire.

We'd rather spend it on taking care of sick people, and educating our children.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80 percent of the country's fresh water, more than 90 percent of the pineapple and lettuce, 92 percent of the nation's fresh fruit, 95 percent of America's quality wines, 90 percent of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most of the U.S.

low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools plus Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.

With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88 percent of all obese Americans (and their projected health care costs), 92 percent of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100 percent of the tornadoes, 90 percent of the hurricanes, 99 percent of all Southern Baptists, virtually 100 percent of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh, Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38 percent of those in the Red states believe Jonah was actually swallowed by a whale, 62 percent believe life is sacred unless we're discussing the war, the death penalty or gun laws, 44 percent say that evolution is only a theory, 53 percent that Saddam was involved in 9/11 and 61 percent of you crazy Redies believe you are people with higher morals then we Bluies.

Finally, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt weed they grow in Mexico.

Peace out,
Blue States

SWEEEEEET!!!!!!

GO OBAMA!!!!!!!

YAY!!!!!

I have a terrible headache and must go to sleep now, but I just wanted to say that I'm so very proud of our country right now!!!!

PS...

It's snowing!!!! Check out the webcams for a view of snow!

I voted in WYOMING!!!!!!

I am officailly a resident of Wyoming as I have changed my voter registration and voted in an election here! If the peace, love, and affordable health care personality I have didn't give it away... I totally voted for my man Obama!

My grandmother will be very upset to know that you can register to vote as late as 45 seconds before voting here in WY. She was positive that the best part of me moving out here was that I wouldn't be able to vote. haha! Wyoming WANTS people to vote, because there are so few people who live in the state. And you only have to be a resident for 24 hours in order to vote. BUT the point is I voted. AND next week I'm going to get a WY driver's license and re-register my car for Wyoming as well.

Well, I'm off to work now.

Can't wait to see what happens tonight! I'm really nervous! GO VOTE (for Barack)!!!!

the life of a work-a-holic!

I need to get to the gym like my life depends on it, in fact, it just might. I've been working so much lately that I have neglected to take care of my body, and it's quite obvious. I've gained nearly 5 pounds since I've been in Jackson! The first month was attributed to constant partying and eating out. This last month I blame working. I just finished my work week- it's strange to me that out here weeks go Monday to Sunday, at home work schedules always went Sunday to Saturday, but I digress. So at 2:34 when I clocked out today I just finished working a 64 hour week. And now I have the afternoon to do with what I please. I'm fighting off taking a nap, because then I will never go back to sleep! I have to work a 12 hour day tomorrow and I am going to need as much sleep as I can get tonight. It's football Sunday, not that I'm really that into NFL football, but I've been unable to watch college football because I've had to work on Saturdays, so maybe I'll partake in some football for the hell of it. Or I might just watch some TV shows on ABC.com... We shall see.

In other news, work is good. and in other other news, I have a day off this Friday!!! =) hehe hopefully once the show starts falling I will have something fun to report. Oh wait!!!! I got a new snowboard jacket and pants yesterday. ON SUPER SALE for $150 I got a Polar Max baselayer, a Spyder Jacket and a pair of Nils board pants. (the jacket was originally $200 and the Pants $150... so I think I did quite well!!!)

Okay, later dudes!
